Combined Heat & Power (CHP)

Combined Heat and PowerCogeneration and tri-generation are processes that recover heat typically vented into the atmosphere and convert it into useful heating and/or cooling for on-site use.  This approach consumes significantly less fuel than conventional electric and thermal generation, overall efficiency, customer profitability and cuts carbon emissions.

GreenCity Power's Generation

Our approach captures waste heat, converts it into useful on-site thermal and cooling, thereby maximizing efficiency.  GCP’s approach is at least double the efficiency of conventional generation, significantly reducing CO2 emissions.

CHP has been widely adopted by the United States’ trade partners due to the benefits of increased energy efficiency:

Conventional Power Generation

Fuel is used to create electricity and excess heat is vented into the atmosphere.  According to the Department of Energy (DOE), more than two-thirds of the fuel used to generate power in the US is lost as waste heat.
